ITM Frequently Asked Questions

An ITM is an innovative new banking technology that allows you to conduct teller transactions via video conferencing at the drive-thru without entering a branch. A Bank of Oak Ridge employee located in Oak Ridge will assist you virtually with each transaction.

 

You’ll find ITMs in the drive-thru at all of our convenient locations.

When you’re ready, simply touch the screen to be connected directly to one of our interactive tellers. You’ll be asked to scan your ID for identification, and a digital signature will authorize your transaction requests.

Almost any transaction that can be completed at a teller line can be completed at an ITM. Examples include:

  • Checking/savings deposits
  • Checking/savings withdrawals
  • Balance inquiries
  • Account transfers
  • Check cashing
  • Loan payments
  • Exchange bills
  • Order checks
  • HSA contributions
  • HSA distributions

ITMs allow us to serve you on your schedule, with extended teller transaction hours from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. They offer an alternative to waiting in line while providing safe, secure transactions.

No, using an ITM is the same as going to the teller window. There are no additional fees.

Yes, your conversations are as private as if you were standing in line inside the bank.

All Bank of Oak Ridge interactive tellers work out of our corporate center in Oak Ridge. You may recognize a few of them, as they have worked in all of our locations.

ITMs will be available 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. ITMs provide ATM services outside of these hours.

Yes, if you prefer to complete an ATM transaction without the assistance of an interactive teller, simply insert your card into the ITM and follow the steps you would take with a typical ATM machine. During the ATM transaction, if you would like assistance, you have the option of speaking with the teller at any time.

There are a number of benefits for our clients:

  • You’ll likely experience shorter lines, with live personal assistance every step of the way.
  • You have access to our extended ITM drive-thru banking hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at all of our locations.
  • You can complete up to 95% of typical teller transactions—like deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments—via ITMs.
  • The addition of ITMs will allow customers to receive more consultative services in-branch.
